John Gormley's Right Wing Radio Show Ratings Lowest In Saskatchewan

RAWLCO Radio continues to subsidize NewsTalkRadio in an ongoing attempt to manipulate Saskatchewan politics. Their flagship show, John Gormley Live is a daily hate filled slander against Saskatchewan's New Democratic Party. It certainly isn't paying for itself in profits.

Listeners to the show are now familiar with Gormley's rambling, long winded rants. These rants go on sometimes for 10 to 15 minutes because the show gets so few callers. Caller screening is so paranoid and ruthless that there are only a handful of regulars who call in every day with their adenoidal, whiny right wing talking points from the Saskatchewan Party caucus offices.

The ratings continue to sink. The chart example displayed above shows results for women listeners in the Regina test market area.

Wall Government Flips 'Charity' To Flood Victims

Saskatchewan Public Safety Minister Yogi Huyghebaert has left hundreds of Saskatchewan families in an ongoing state of limbo since last summers disastrous floods. Months after flood waters hit many Saskatchewan communities, about 200 families are still without homes and forced to live in motels, cabins and motor homes.

Rather than speed up the processing of over 4000 claims for assistance, the Wall government has merely flipped a measly $200,000 to the provincial Red Cross to use for services to flood victims.

This is so typical of the ideology bound Saskatchewan Party. Those in need are considered 'charity' cases. And what's the best way for a Right Wing political administration to provide essential services to those in need? The Minister just flips a few coins into the charity basket, and then washes his hands of any meaningful action. Shame on Minister Yogi Huyghebaert for not doing his job. Shame on Brad Wall for allowing this right wing incompetent to stay in cabinet.

Here is the story of just one family that continues to suffer because of the callous and incompetent Minister Yogi.

"Homeowner still waiting for aid money

Leader-Post December 4, 2010

All Jody Bencze wants is to be home for the holidays. Five months after it hit, the Yorkton woman is still dealing with the effects of the devastating Canada Day flood that drowned out much of the east-central Saskatchewan city.

The single mother of two purchased her first home in September 2009 and when the rains came on July 1, only trickles of water came inside. But the pressure on the foundation walls from the saturated ground eventually caused strain on all four basement walls, one of which had previous damage.

"They didn't have visible cracks prior, now I have all four walls with cracks," said Bencze. "They started as pin-sized cracks and now I can stick my fingers in the wall."

Since then, she has dealt with a series of engineers about the damage and just last week was told by the City of Yorkton that if the foundation wasn't repaired in the short term, she would have to leave her home by mid-December.

Bencze had been hoping to have already received a payment from the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) to help cover the costs.

"It would be nice if PDAP would contact us and let us know what steps are to be taken and a rough idea of how long this is going to take," said Bencze, who has been working through an engineer to deal with PDAP. "I don't have the funds (to pay for the repairs), so it would be nice to have a rough dollar amount."

Bencze is not alone.

In all, the city has identified 43 homes with varying levels of structural damage that need attention. According to city manager David Putz, around half of those will have to be torn down if the foundations are not repaired.

In each of those cases, the residents are no longer living in their homes. Some, like Bencze, were given time to get plans in place for temporary bracing before leaving. Others had to leave immediately.

"We're being as flexible as we can and it will go on a case-by-case basis," said Putz.

He said the city brought the issues to PDAP officials and was told that the cases would become priorities of the program.

Tom Young, executive director of protection and emergency services with the Ministry of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing, said 59 structure claims have been received from Yorkton and when structure is involved, claims can take a little longer because different assessors will look at the damage.

"I wouldn't say '(without a) shadow of doubt,' but certainly there has to be strong indication that that was as a result of the flood ... and judgments have to be made if it's somewhere in between," said Young, who noted those that had to leave their homes also have access to $30,000 for accommodations through PDAP.

Two houses in Yorkton have been condemned outright because of the flood. One of those had prior structural issues.

For the city's part, it is approving temporary bracing for basement walls for affected homeowners once blueprints have been drawn up by engineers. It is not the final solution, but it could allow some residents to stay in their homes until a permanent fix can be done.

Bencze was meeting with an engineer Friday to arrange that for her home so she can remain there over the winter.

Brad Wall hand picks a Roughrider to run for the Saskatchewan Party

Since there are only 11 card carrying members of the Saskatchewan Party in Regina Dewedney Constituency, it would be embarrassing for Bard Wall to have an actual democratic nomination meeting to pick a candidate to run in the next provincial election. So to heck with democracy. Brad Wall has unilaterally decided who will be on the ballot.

Since everyone loves the Roughriders, figures Mr. Wall, why not get one to run so he can try and tie the 'Riders' to the Saskatchewan Party.

No democracy, no stadium, flash and spin is all Brad Wall has to offer. Good luck with that one Brad. The Saskatchewan Party caucus office staff like it anyway!

Saskatchewan Party Caucus staff have moved their attack blog

The Saskatchewan party caucus office has moved its attack site from 'NDP Watch' to a new location ---> NDP Boogeyman. Like the old site, these publicly funded caucus staff are only capable of publishing posts that contain personal attack. They continue to attack Murray Mandryk of the Regina Leader-Post and mount a lame defence against anyone who writes a 'letter to the editor' that is critical of the Wall regime.

You will not see any of Wall's policy defended nor any rational arguments for legislation being introduced into the Spring Session of the Legislature. Nope. They only know how to slander and defame.

John Gormley should feel like an idiot after so aggressively defending Serge Leclerc , but he probably won't

When the news first broke that Saskatchewan Party MLA, Serge Leclerc may have been using drugs and hustling on gay chat sites, no one came to his defense more aggressively than NewsTalk Radio open mouth show host, John Gormley.

Gormley tried for two days to convince his listeners that Serge was probably the victim of NDP dirty tricks. Wrong! John should feel like a real chump right about now, but he won't. He is so completely up the Saskatchewan Party's butt he simply can't see light.

Someone Looks Uncomfortable!

I don't know why, but I am reminded of a quote from The Hunt for Red October...

Jeffery Pelt; "Listen,I'm a politician which means I'm a cheat and a liar, and when I'm not kissing babies, I'm stealing their lollipops."

Conflict of Interest Commissioner Says Sask Party MLA Serge LeClerc ''Unethical, Unlawful'

Brad Wall's hand picked candidate in Saskatoon was 'unethical and unlawful' while he sat in the Saskatchewan Party government ranks. Brad Wall can sure pick candidates that reflect what the Saskatchewan Party is all about.

Here is the Leader Post story -

REGINA — The ethical watchdog of the legislative assembly has found that former Saskatchewan Party MLA Serge LeClerc engaged in “conduct that was both unethical and unlawful during the time he was an MLA.”

LeClerc left the Saskatchewan Party caucus and went on medical leave in April after CBC reported it had received a package of Internet chat room transcripts along with a recording of an individual who sounded like LeClerc discussing marijuana and cocaine use.

LeClerc denied the accusations but resigned his seat effective at the end of August.

In a report released Tuesday, conflict of interest commissioner Ronald Barclay rejected LeClerc’s assertion that the recording had been doctored.

Barclay sent the recording for forensic analysis to the RCMP, with police experts determining that all the audio clips were from the same original recording, are not composites and there was no evidence words and phrases had been spliced together or edited.

“According to the content of the recordings, it is my opinion that Mr. LeClerc smoked marijuana during the time period he was an MLA, and that he had an unidentified person bring cocaine to his residence during the time period he was an MLA,” wrote Barclay.

RCMP experts had also examined computers used by LeClerc and his constituency assistants during the time he was MLA. While four of them had not been used for Internet chats, LeClerc told Barclay he had thrown away the hard drive of his government issue laptop, “rendering any forensic analysis entirely impossible.”

“Mr. LeClerc destroyed the one vital piece of evidence that may have assisted in exonerating, or implicating, his participation in the chats,” wrote Barclay, who noted that when relevant evidence is destroyed “a presumption arises that the evidence would have been unfavourable to the party who destroyed it.”

Saskatchewan Party Caucus Office Blog Back From Summer Vacation

Now that Brad Wall has called a by-election to replace Sask. Party MLA, Serge LeClerc, the staff in the Saskatchewan Party Caucus Office have finally been ordered to publish something on their blog to justify the big fat taxpayer funded salaries that they receive. After acknowledging the wonderfully long summer holiday that we paid for, they are back slurring anyone who doesn't buy into their brand.

Blaise and the boys & girls at the government Caucus office are busy busy busy hating unions and 'labouring away' (haha) at 'NDP Watch' launching attacks against both organized labour and Murray Mandryk.

Saskatchewan Party Displays Nervousness

Brad Wall and the Saskatchewan Party will be defeated in the 2011 provincial election. They know it. They are nervous. While support for Mr. Wall remains respectable, the overall performance of the Saskatchewan Party government is beginning to wane. Most notably in rural Saskatchewan where the biggest disappointment in Wall exists.

The fact that the Saskatchewan Progressive Conservative Party is going to field a full slate of 58 candidates is a key factor in Sask Party nervousness. By taking a few hundred votes from the Sask Party in each constituency, government in Saskatchewan will change.

The Sask Party caucus office appears to be very worried. The official blog of the Saskatchewan Party caucus shows the high level of 'nit picking' nervousness that currently has them grasping at straws.

Sask Party Uses News Talk Radio Show To Manipulate Opinion On Crop Insurance

I nearly choked on my coffee as I listened to open mouth show host, John Gormley, try and convince farmers that they don't need more than fifty dollars per seeded acre for flooded farm land. Simultaneously, about 5 so called farmers phoned into the show and praised the existing crop insurance coverage of 50 per seeded acre and claimed that any farmer asking for more is a dupe of the NDP. Is this the same Saskatchewan Party who lost their minds with the cancellation of the Billion dollar a year GRIP Program that nearly bankrupted the province? Twice this morning, a farmer tried to voice an opinion with a different angle than Gormeley's but they were cut off quickly.

John Gormley Live = Sask Party Radio. What a joke.

Mr. Gormley is a defeated, one term Conservative party Member of Parliament. He worked for the disgraced Grant Devine government while going to law school. Mr. Gormley is famous for using an abrasive interviewing style (pioneereed by Ezra Levant) where, on average, he allows his quest about 12 seconds before he aggressively interrupts them. Those who disagree with Mr. Gormley's opinions are interrupted mercilessly during the 'interview'.

Any listener who thinks John Gormley is a legit talk show host, needs to refresh their memory of when the Saskatchewan Party was caught trying to manipulate news, letters to the editor and call in shows.

Regina Leader Post Article
A job posting that sought someone willing to recruit people to dial in to radio talk shows and draft letters to the editor for others to sign was sent in error, says an official with Saskatchewan Party caucus office.

The caucus office -- which receives funds from the public purse -- recently advertised for a communications officer who would develop databases of people willing to write or sign letters to the editor or call into radio or television shows, among other duties.

The job description was contained in an e-mail that went to a number of University of Regina journalism graduates. However, the caucus office also sent a corrected posting, with references to the letter writing and calling duties omitted.

Saskatchewan Party Caucus Office Attacks Columnist

There are two old sayings that the management of the Saskatchewan Party Caucus Office should try and remember:

"Do not shoot the messenger"

"Never go to war with people who buy their ink by the barrel"

Brad Wall's Government Caucus Offices has assigned one of their staff researchers, Blaise Boehmer, to write an abusive blog known as 'NDP Watch'. Earlier this month Mr. Boehmer made the mistake of leaving his email address on one of the facebook screen captures that he posted on the Sask party blog. Mr. Boehmer is under instruction to attack anyone who voices opinions that are contrary to Wall's policies. Usually they go after citizens who write letters to the editor that Mr. Wall doesn't like. But now they may have bit off more than they can chew. They have now decided that it is smart to officially attack the political columnist of the Regina Leader Post, Murray Mandryk.

Murray Mandryk is a long time political columnist in Saskatchewan and is one of the fairest, most balanced writers you will ever read. This outright attack on him by the Sask Party Caucus Office is cheap and disgusting.

I wonder how long Mr. Wall will allow his Caucus taxpayer funded, Caucus office staff continue with this hateful attack style? You would think that Mr. Wall has more class than is currently being demonstrated by the likes of his obviously disturbed staffer, Blaise Boehmer?

Sask Party Caucus Staff Intimidate And Slander Opponents Who Write Letters To The Editor

Sask Party Watch recently informed you that Blaise Boehmer, an employee of the Saskatchewan Party Caucus has been assigned to research and intimidate persons who write a 'letter to the editor' with any criticism of the Brad Wall government. Mr. Boehmer has confirmed that the NDP Watch blog is authored by him in his role as publicly a funded employee of Brad Wall's Saskatchewan Party Caucus Office. And by the way ... for a bunch of people who say they 'hate socialism', they sure seem to like being on the public payroll! These people have no shame. Oh well, this is how Mr. Wall wants to run his affairs. The people of Saskatchewan need to hear more about this.

As a taxpayer, you are paying for Blaise Boehmer to conduct this official intimidation and threatening behavior. As a result, the author of this blog has now formally complained to the Conflict of Interest Commissioner for the Province of Saskatchewan.

As a citizen, what I am asking the Conflict of Interest Commissioner to examine is who has given the official instruction for this intimidation to be conducted with taxpayer paid resources? Do the instructions for this online intimidation come from Gerald Proctor,Caucus Chief of Staff, or from Reg Downs, Chief of Staff to Premier Wall, or does it come from Brad Wall himself?

Stay tuned for further updates on this investigation.

The 'NDP Watch' blog is done by Saskatchewan Party Caucus Office!

The blog known as 'NDP Watch' that was announced on John Gormley's radio show is an official blogsite produced by the Saskatchewan Party Caucus. It is officially sanctioned by the Saskatchewan Party Caucus and is funded by resources provided to the Saskatchewan Party Caucus by the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan intended to serve their MLAs. It is highly offensive and inflammatory. The prime author, Blaise Boehmer, is a staff person in the Saskatchewan Party Caucus Office and he has been attacking anyone who writes a 'letter to the editor' with criticism of the Brad Wall government.

Someone by the name of Blaise Boehmer left their name on a screen capture of a facebook page where they were attacking the head of the Saskatchewan Labour Federation, Larry Hubich. Blaise is listed as a researcher with the government caucus office. See! I told you!

NewsTalk Radio host, Mr. John Gormley initially introduced the site and has mentioned it frequently on his program. He has quoted from the hate filled blog site a number of times.

Other blogs are now reporting on this matter.

Saskatchewan Party Staff Likely Behind Website

A website called - NDP Watch- was announced on the John Gormley radio talk show the other morning. I am unsure if John Gormley is connected with the website, but the way it was announced was just a bit too convenient to be a coincidence. John Gormley's fond political sympathies with the Saskatchewan party are well known but maybe it was just a case of one of the blog's authors using his moment on John Gormley to plug their new page.

But more interesting is the content of the new website which has numerous clues as to the connection between the site owners and staff of the Saskatchewan party.

On the new site, there is a constant reference to "we". The writers repeatedly use phrases such as "we know" or "we have information" etc. Most blogs are an individual effort but not NDP Watch. It is clearly a team effort to attack the opposition NDP party.

What else? Well a recent photo on National Newswatch showing a sleeping Saskatchewan party MLA was immediately referenced by the websites angry writers who were more than familiar with the seating plan of the legislature and what they claim are the rules of the Legislative building. There is no doubt that the owner or owners of the site are either staff in Mr. Wall's premier's office or they are staff to a Saskatchewan party cabinet minister. They claim that I wrote something extremely inflammatory on their site but they deleted it. ??? So even though they claim that what has upset them is now deleted, they were still able to get John Gormley to make it the center of his radio program. An entire mornings show over a statement that was erased by the very people it supposedly upset???

It is a moving target with these people. The desperation they are showing in trying to make political hay over something they say was written on their site but then deleted, makes me assume that they are either insane or politically panicked.

I am quite curious as to who they are and am positive that your tax dollars are paying their salary while they blog pro-Saskatchewan party propaganda.

Once this can be determined I will pass the information along to the proper authorities who will likely want to investigate further.

For the record

For the record, the author of this blog wrote to John Gormley with a request that is reasonable and relevant to Saskatchewan politics. Here is a copy of the email that was sent to him on April 16, 2010.

Dear Mr. Gormley
I listen to your show everyday and have written to you before. I would like to suggest that you bring Mr. Rick Swenson onto your show one morning as a guest. Mr. Swenson is with the Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan and he is a past leader of the party. I know that you once sat in the House of Commons as a PC MP and I am sure that you have met Mr. Swenson in the past. Mr. Swenson is a gifted speaker and has insight into the current political landscape in Saskatchewan and it would be refreshing to hear him on your show.

Just a suggestion but it does get a little dull on the daily radio waves hearing only of the ongoing sparring between the NDP party and the Saskatchewan Party. Mr. Swenson would have some unique observations that your listeners would, I am confident, enjoy.

Your sincerely
XXXXXXXX

An update-
Well John Gormley sure slammed this blog today. He has sided completely with the Saskatchewan party staffers who do the bizzaro world opposite version of this blog. This morning he used every one of their lines word for word. This is Saskatchewan party radio. Don't count on hearing Rick Swenson on his show. In Gormley's world anyone who is not supporting the Saskatchewan party is an NDP. He forgets that PC's, Liberals and Greens also disagree with the Saskatchewan party and have a voice in a democracy. All you are going to hear on Gormley live is whatever the Saskatchewan party wants him to do. Word to the wise, if you ever write to Gormley be ready for him to break confidence and use your name on the air. Classy.
