Saskatchewan Party Caucus Office Attacks Columnist

There are two old sayings that the management of the Saskatchewan Party Caucus Office should try and remember:

"Do not shoot the messenger"

"Never go to war with people who buy their ink by the barrel"

Brad Wall's Government Caucus Offices has assigned one of their staff researchers, Blaise Boehmer, to write an abusive blog known as 'NDP Watch'. Earlier this month Mr. Boehmer made the mistake of leaving his email address on one of the facebook screen captures that he posted on the Sask party blog. Mr. Boehmer is under instruction to attack anyone who voices opinions that are contrary to Wall's policies. Usually they go after citizens who write letters to the editor that Mr. Wall doesn't like. But now they may have bit off more than they can chew. They have now decided that it is smart to officially attack the political columnist of the Regina Leader Post, Murray Mandryk.

Murray Mandryk is a long time political columnist in Saskatchewan and is one of the fairest, most balanced writers you will ever read. This outright attack on him by the Sask Party Caucus Office is cheap and disgusting.

I wonder how long Mr. Wall will allow his Caucus taxpayer funded, Caucus office staff continue with this hateful attack style? You would think that Mr. Wall has more class than is currently being demonstrated by the likes of his obviously disturbed staffer, Blaise Boehmer?

Sask Party Caucus Staff Intimidate And Slander Opponents Who Write Letters To The Editor

Sask Party Watch recently informed you that Blaise Boehmer, an employee of the Saskatchewan Party Caucus has been assigned to research and intimidate persons who write a 'letter to the editor' with any criticism of the Brad Wall government. Mr. Boehmer has confirmed that the NDP Watch blog is authored by him in his role as publicly a funded employee of Brad Wall's Saskatchewan Party Caucus Office. And by the way ... for a bunch of people who say they 'hate socialism', they sure seem to like being on the public payroll! These people have no shame. Oh well, this is how Mr. Wall wants to run his affairs. The people of Saskatchewan need to hear more about this.

As a taxpayer, you are paying for Blaise Boehmer to conduct this official intimidation and threatening behavior. As a result, the author of this blog has now formally complained to the Conflict of Interest Commissioner for the Province of Saskatchewan.

As a citizen, what I am asking the Conflict of Interest Commissioner to examine is who has given the official instruction for this intimidation to be conducted with taxpayer paid resources? Do the instructions for this online intimidation come from Gerald Proctor,Caucus Chief of Staff, or from Reg Downs, Chief of Staff to Premier Wall, or does it come from Brad Wall himself?

Stay tuned for further updates on this investigation.
