The 'NDP Watch' blog is done by Saskatchewan Party Caucus Office!

The blog known as 'NDP Watch' that was announced on John Gormley's radio show is an official blogsite produced by the Saskatchewan Party Caucus. It is officially sanctioned by the Saskatchewan Party Caucus and is funded by resources provided to the Saskatchewan Party Caucus by the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan intended to serve their MLAs. It is highly offensive and inflammatory. The prime author, Blaise Boehmer, is a staff person in the Saskatchewan Party Caucus Office and he has been attacking anyone who writes a 'letter to the editor' with criticism of the Brad Wall government.

Someone by the name of Blaise Boehmer left their name on a screen capture of a facebook page where they were attacking the head of the Saskatchewan Labour Federation, Larry Hubich. Blaise is listed as a researcher with the government caucus office. See! I told you!

NewsTalk Radio host, Mr. John Gormley initially introduced the site and has mentioned it frequently on his program. He has quoted from the hate filled blog site a number of times.

Other blogs are now reporting on this matter.

Saskatchewan Party Staff Likely Behind Website

A website called - NDP Watch- was announced on the John Gormley radio talk show the other morning. I am unsure if John Gormley is connected with the website, but the way it was announced was just a bit too convenient to be a coincidence. John Gormley's fond political sympathies with the Saskatchewan party are well known but maybe it was just a case of one of the blog's authors using his moment on John Gormley to plug their new page.

But more interesting is the content of the new website which has numerous clues as to the connection between the site owners and staff of the Saskatchewan party.

On the new site, there is a constant reference to "we". The writers repeatedly use phrases such as "we know" or "we have information" etc. Most blogs are an individual effort but not NDP Watch. It is clearly a team effort to attack the opposition NDP party.

What else? Well a recent photo on National Newswatch showing a sleeping Saskatchewan party MLA was immediately referenced by the websites angry writers who were more than familiar with the seating plan of the legislature and what they claim are the rules of the Legislative building. There is no doubt that the owner or owners of the site are either staff in Mr. Wall's premier's office or they are staff to a Saskatchewan party cabinet minister. They claim that I wrote something extremely inflammatory on their site but they deleted it. ??? So even though they claim that what has upset them is now deleted, they were still able to get John Gormley to make it the center of his radio program. An entire mornings show over a statement that was erased by the very people it supposedly upset???

It is a moving target with these people. The desperation they are showing in trying to make political hay over something they say was written on their site but then deleted, makes me assume that they are either insane or politically panicked.

I am quite curious as to who they are and am positive that your tax dollars are paying their salary while they blog pro-Saskatchewan party propaganda.

Once this can be determined I will pass the information along to the proper authorities who will likely want to investigate further.

For the record

For the record, the author of this blog wrote to John Gormley with a request that is reasonable and relevant to Saskatchewan politics. Here is a copy of the email that was sent to him on April 16, 2010.

Dear Mr. Gormley
I listen to your show everyday and have written to you before. I would like to suggest that you bring Mr. Rick Swenson onto your show one morning as a guest. Mr. Swenson is with the Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan and he is a past leader of the party. I know that you once sat in the House of Commons as a PC MP and I am sure that you have met Mr. Swenson in the past. Mr. Swenson is a gifted speaker and has insight into the current political landscape in Saskatchewan and it would be refreshing to hear him on your show.

Just a suggestion but it does get a little dull on the daily radio waves hearing only of the ongoing sparring between the NDP party and the Saskatchewan Party. Mr. Swenson would have some unique observations that your listeners would, I am confident, enjoy.

Your sincerely
XXXXXXXX

An update-
Well John Gormley sure slammed this blog today. He has sided completely with the Saskatchewan party staffers who do the bizzaro world opposite version of this blog. This morning he used every one of their lines word for word. This is Saskatchewan party radio. Don't count on hearing Rick Swenson on his show. In Gormley's world anyone who is not supporting the Saskatchewan party is an NDP. He forgets that PC's, Liberals and Greens also disagree with the Saskatchewan party and have a voice in a democracy. All you are going to hear on Gormley live is whatever the Saskatchewan party wants him to do. Word to the wise, if you ever write to Gormley be ready for him to break confidence and use your name on the air. Classy.
